Hey kids! I am le back! And it's good to be back. First, vacation...
We went to Florida for a week, and it was awesome. Went to the beach, hung out at the pool, played pool and shuffleboard, went to the world's largest flea market, went to Waltzing Waters, the world's coolest light-water-sound display, and went on a crazy wet and wild airboat ride through the Everglades. Fun stuff!
Then got back here, stayed a few days at Eryn's. I got a cloak for Christmas! Her family made it for me. It's long and woolen and heavy and blue, and very comfy and cool with a hood. Woot. Other than that, basically just hung out with her and her family for a few relaxing days. I love her. *dreamy smile*
Anycow, now I'm back here. I've got my new roommate, Steve Wilson. A nice guy, pleasant to talk with, fun to hang around. Gets a little tiring sometimes, because he's one of those people that relies on other people's sense of humor. As in, he'll take a joke I make and keep it going five minutes later than it should've. He mentioned a learning disability, so I think it just has something to do with that. Ah well, I like the guy. We'll have fun together.
This J-term I'm taking EDU262, Human Learning and Development. It's not as boring as I thought it would be. Still, even the most exciting class gets old after three hours. But I can't complain, I love J-term.
I finally got my scholarship info worked out! Not only did I restore my scholarship from last spring, so I didn't have to pay the extra thousand, but because they don't check them till spring, I get it for ALL of this year too! That's two thousand dollars less than I almost had to pay! So, amazingly, I managed to keep the Presidential Scholarship for two of my college years. AND, my GPA right now is .03 points below the mark for keeping the scholarship. So if I can just pull it back up to there, which shouldn't be too hard, I can keep the scholarship for my junior year as well. WOOT!
I unfortunately only lasted one day in Assassins. I had a gun slung in a homemade holster at my hip, and a mini one concealed on my wrist. I was all set, not trusting anyone! Except I did. The guy directly across the hall from me had me fairly convinced that he wasn't going to shoot me, but still I was wary. Then he told me he thought the guy in the room next to him was after him, and asked if I could look in and see if he was there. I leaned over, still in my doorway, and just my hand outside on the doorframe. And BAM, he shot my finger. Dead. Poop. Aw well, next round. Next round.
