They say you should not drink to hide the pain. Is it ok for a puncture wound? The last fish I caught today was a catfish and it’s side fin spine punctured my hand into the knuckle of my pointing finger and hand. It hurts. When the people next to you go “Oh my god, are you alright?” and you go “No, I’m going into shock. I should be ok in a few minutes” Yes, I got shocky. The blood was running down my hand onto the ground. Let’s give a big cheer for Safety Kleen and first aid training. Direct pressure and a napkin took care of the bleeding. And the Boy Scouts. I’m drunk now. I’ve been banging back a pint of Jim Beam. I’m a light weight. The hand hurts and there is some swelling but The feeling came back into the forefinger and I really don’t care about the pain right now. I’m in bed so no problems with me driving. Oh, speaking of driving. There was a cop on the way home waiting for speeders. I wasn’t going too fast 3-5 mph over limit. At the time I could not move my hand to get my wallet. I almost missed a great chance. Offficer “where is the emergency”. Me: “right here sir”
Hot water took the bulk of the pain away. I’m drinking so I can sleep. If anything looks really bad tomorrow, I’ll seek medical attention.
Boobies make me smile. I an really drunk now.
