Robert Steinberg
Robert Steinberg passed away yesterday. The name probably doesn't mean a lot to you unless you're a chocolate fiend (as I am) -- he was one of the founders of Scharffen Berger; he and John Scharffenberger helped bring artisan chocolate making back to the U.S.
I met him once, at a talk at Xerox PARC. In fact, it was right after Ambar and I met (our second time; it's quite a story) and she was there too. *remembers happily*
