As far as interesting weekends go, this one seems to be going fairly well.
Last night was the band concert. I went for the concert, and stayed for the afterward festivities. This included ice cream and people.....touching me, for lack of better explanation. I think it's because females can't keep their hands off of me everyone likes making me uncomfortable. And Rachel S. ("Dad") decided she'd teach me to hug people in the remaining 10 days of senior year. It's really going fast. Even though it doesn't seem like it. We've got two weeks left and then we're graduation. It's a paradigm shift. In a few months I'll be 18 and out on my own. It's just...wow. So different. Then I think that someday I might end up married or something. Indeed, we are entering a brave new world.
Today I went to Josh's house and we filmed our BNN special report. Highlights included Josh smacking the crap out of an evil pumpkin, a swordfight to find out who the real Josh is, and spearfishing in a stream. We didn't get to shoot the Grendel's mom scenes today, because we couldn't find Betsy. I understand she was busy though. So we'll have to do those scenes during next week or something. I suppose we could have tried calling another female to participate. But calling a female seems to have some sort of social connotations. Also, I'm afraid of the phone. Sometimes.
In spite of my anti-social behavior, my parents are still trying to get me to go out on a date. They've offered to pay for it too. Which means I could get a free movie out of this. If I could drive, I could go alone and get two. More if I get money for food and don't buy anything. But I can't drive. My next step logically is to go get a license. Then I'll be able to drive. Just pretend I ended this paragraph with a few sentences about an imaginary female companion. Awkward, isn't it?
