Yaaah let's pick an entirely mood-inappropriate avatar, like Taichi-with-a-mouth-big-enought-to-stuff-a-fish-into. Woo~

Soooo done with this semesterrrrrrrrr. Rrrrrr.

Esp. with stupid homework, like "Write 750 words about what you liked/didn't like about presentations thus far." When we've only seen two.

Heheheheh no.

On the bright side - I'm almost done. A rough draft (which should more or less work as a final draft, so saves a step), a presentation and another paper due Friday (the latter, I'm gonna try to get an extension for, since technically I have one for that class and I haven't used it yet). Not bad. Another paper due next week. There are final exams for some courses coming up, but at the moment it doesn't look too scary. The conference presentation was the cause of crunch time and hell over the past two weeks. It's over now, so - on the one hand, I feel great, but on the other, I now feel done with school... But I'm not quite there yet.

Anyway, even if I don't have a pressing amount to do, I still have to work on fundraising for the summer conference. $600 due on May 1. How much of it do I have? Nada. Let's see if it's even possible to make this happen. (I did, however, find a Japanese association at the cherry blossom festival today. So I'll look into begging money off them.)

Cherry blossom festival was fun. If we go again next year, it'll be nice that I'll know what to expect. There were some issues with timing, since people wanted to see different things that were occurring at the same time (but some were also happening later, and some only once... etc.). There wasn't much in the way of food either. But it was still awesome.

There were taiko drummers, INCLUDING TAIKO PROJECT ALL THE WAY FROM CALIFORNIA!!!!! I was so totally stoked when I saw them on the schedule, I totally spazzed and screamed, "WE ALL HAVE TO WATCH TAIKO PROJECT IN AN HOUR!!!" Woooooooooo!!!!! Most amazing coincidence EVAR. I had no idea they would be there, and they were as awesome as I thought they would be, even with only about eight or so of their members. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaagh it was awesome. I took so many pictures (with Alice's camera haha). The girls were gorgeous. Their features were so energetic and fun.

I wanted to buy a T-shirt or something, but for whatever reason they didn't have an actual booth, and after standing around waiting for someone to be free to answer questions for a while, I finally gave up. Sad.

But still awesome!

There was also a tea ceremony and a koto/shamisen performer. I got to eat wagashi, which I love. And since there was a cosplay contest going on, I saw someone in Kenshin dress. :P I knew who they were right away, even though I'm not into cosplay. :D Kenshin makes my day shiiiiny. I then managed to get the ball in the cup playing kendama, twice (go me, that makes three times in one month hahahaha), and then proceeded to fail miserably at daruma-otoshi, which is supposed to be a lot easier. -_-; After doing it practically nonstop at Harumatsuri, I should have been able to do it. But the ones at this festival were more slippery...!

Also there was Okinawan Yuyukai, which was cool. I enjoyed everything. Gaah. The weather coulda be a little warmer, but it was very nice. So awesome that it didn't rain.

Really, the anime contest and the cosplay contest were freaking PACKED. Nowhere else was. Guh. I would have felt so claustrophobic if I'd had to go to them.

Meanwhile I continue to wonder whether or not Nightcrawler will kick the can next week. I am lame, yes, I know.

And I hate the CBR forums, I hate CBR, I hate CBR... probably I won't go back after next week. *sigh*

Aaaand I have discovered the wonder that is "Hanna Is Not a Boy's Name," which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, along with "Lackadaisy Cats" which I keep meaning to write about. Someday I will. Lol. Maybe when we get an update...

ok. Sleep time, since I'm refusing to write that essay on the two presentations we've seen thus far. -_- (Technically we can turn it in anytime this week, but it's originally slated for today, which is... so not happening.)

Man, I am whiney today. Spring fever, it must be.

Also, I have a sunburn on my head, my face, and just below my neck. They hurt lol. Go me.

nightcrawler, life, rurouni kenshin, music, school, japanese, that's shiiiiiiiiny
