Yay so Nightcrawler: Origins spoilers!!!

The art is pretty; the writing seems decent; it stars my favorite character; it goes through a pivotal point in his past...
And yet...
XD Based on these preview pages, I hate it!
But it's hard to pinpoint why. The story seems to just barely fit in continuity - must be before the circus was moved to Florida (if indeed that plot point, which was dealt with not even five years ago, is kept in place), but after it was bought out. If we're going by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's Nightcrawler story, Kurt wasn't under the influence of the "medicine" until he went with Jardine to Florida. Alone. :P He had to come back to Germany to kill Stefan. So... this plot is a little shaky. But I guess it's feasible.
And a story that describes Kurt as "empty-eyed" and has him asking Margali for a bedtime story of "better times" worries me a little. :< It's to be expected - he's being used, and forcibly drugged. That's enough to give anyone empty eyes. So I'm gonna give it the benefit of the doubt, but... no high hopes here.
Also, apparently it's going to deal with Kurt's first teleportation. I don't think that's ever been dealt with in comic canon, but I could be wrong. It was mentioned in Aguirre-Sacasa's run - Kurt must have been in his mid teens at the youngest when he admitted to Stefan that he could teleport. ('Course, Kurt was alternating between reminiscing and dreaming when he went through that part - so it could easily be retconned.) IDK what to think. I guess... well, we'll just have to see.

OK, I admit that I'm a very hard to please fan. Ehhhh. I'm just not the dramatic type. Give me swashbuckling...! MU is simply too depressing lately :P The Pixie mini-series may be the only writing I actually care about, and I don't even want to actually buy it. :P
