Ophthalmology

Namely, having various chemicals squirted in my eyes, bright lights shone in my eyes, and a doctor telling me that "Oh, well, your eyes look normal. You should go see a neurologist."

So much for Divisionals, so much for All-Stars. The first neurologist appointment we could get was August 9.

And, as always, my head is splitting open and my vision is totally messed up.

In other news, life is grand.

No, honestly. For some reason I'm not getting upset about it - I mean, I'm upset about it, of course, and every now and then I want to break down into tears, but most of the time it's just there, like a headache that won't go away, something you work around and deal with and don't think about because that only makes it worse.

Also, Pain keeps me company, because listening to Pain to help deal with pain is far too awesome an idea to pass up. "Allow me to extend to you a special invitation to watch the wrinkles grow upon my face as I grow old. Christmas time and Halloween and all the days that lie between, hand in hand we'll watch as all the years unfold"

"My pop told me it don't matter where a fella goes. You can sail through icy straits and misty archipelagoes. Travel to the moon, orbit every star, size don't really count and there you are. You're still a man however big you are."
