The Magnificent Fundraising for Mark
There is a man in my town who has a story that many of you will relate to as being all too common in this world today.
His name is Mark, and he worked as a landscaper, but was laid off due to lack of business.
He could no longer afford his apartment, and so lives in a tent in the woods.
When the incredibly beautiful soul earthspirits heard of this, she said to me, let's do a fundraising. I'll contribute some of my art, you contribute a copy of your books, you can ask some others to join in, and we'll see if we can get this guy some money.
The response was overwhelming. So far nine (edited - 10 nope 11 -) people total have joined in to offer art, books, or jewelry.
I think alot of people feel as I do... the helplessness to do much for others in this economy is wearying, and it feels GOOD just to help ONE person. I think it helps the people who give, as much as it will help Mark. :-)
And so, with a grateful heart, I begin this adventure. I'll be adding to this post, as people send me more information, so keep checking!
All profits go directly to Mark, handed to him by me, so I can be sure he gets all of it.
