Hanakimi drama + ohsnap shoot
Well SuBlines finally finished subbing and releasing all of the Hanakimi drama so I have FINALLY seen all 15 eps woo! All in all the show was quite enjoyable so I thought I'd do a little review of it. I'll cut it in case there are spoilers for the show or the manga.
I did quite enjoy the tawainese drama quite a bit. Though sometimes my attention spand was hard to stay for the hour and 15min episodes haha. Often watched them in parts but yeah I got it all watched! It was good, I mean Hanakimi is my fav manga. WHy it hasn't become an anime I'll never know it's the biggest crime of the world! They kept very close to manga so that was nice, there of course where some changes. Like they were in university not highschool but I think that's to do with the culture shift since it's not in japan. Umeda was nicely played but no glasses and I guess since it's real life tv no kisses either boo! All the roles where done pretty good, Sano aka Quan was perfect. Nakatsu got kinda over acting at times but all in all good. One thing that amused me big time was Julia and how she's randomly switch back and forth from english, it was fun!
I was curious to see how they would end it since where it ends there really is no closuer at all. They changed a few things there but I see they had too. But woah......... Nakatsu and Julia dude! That was completely random and unexpected. But actually I am fine with that, I always thought in the manga they'd make a good pair. They have a good amount in common so it's cute. I disliked how in the end of the manga Nakatsu got no love! But the one thing I disliked with him is the whole sucided thing! Nakatsu would never say he'd jump off the bulding......... I so couldn't see that.
Will be interesting to see how things will go with the second season with the slight changes from the manga. In closing it was cute and nice to watch and man the opening song is so catchy!
In other news yay! I have booked off July 15th from work so I can go to Oh Snap's shoot at SFU. Who else is going and stuff? Also what costumes will people wear? Me I will hurry and get my Ahtrun Orb costume done and wear that woo! Can't wait to see people again yay!
