My Hairstory

Nov 29, 2006 23:06

My hair sticks to everything. If, on average, a person loses 20 stands of hair per day, I easily lose 200. At home we have hair everywhere, and there is no getting rid of it. Hair in the sink, hair in the bath tub, hair on my clothes. I'm like a dog that sheds, but worse because my hair is longer and the long strands wind around each other, forming knots which then get stuck in the tub drain. R* has heroicly cleaned the tub drain of my hair on a couple of occasions. He stifled the horror of discovering the large clumps of hair wedged inside the drain and disposed of it without a comment.

I'm reminded of all of this as I glance down and notice that my shirt sleeve is covered in hair, as usual. I haven't cleaned the drain yet but I imagine that my time will come soon.
