I'm making armour out of craft foam, which I've done before and the basic construction is simple enough.
The problem is, I need to seal the foam for spray painting and I have quite a big surface area to cover so I don't want to do several coats of glue/water mix unless I have no other option at all.
What I want to know is;
- Could I cover the front in something like tracing paper or layout paper with a coat of PVA on top? (One single, flat sheet per piece of foam)
- Would that hold securely?
- What kind of finish would I get from it?
Does anybody know of any other options? (Ideally reasonably cheap ones.)
