welcome to the first day of MAGICAL GIRL MONTH! magical girl month: the totes official celebration of ALL THINGS MAGICAL GIRL! this is the month to celebrate magical girls, both real and fictional, for values of real and fictional that actually mean "both fictional and the alternate universe versions of real/fictional people"!

here at the headquarters of magical girl month, we define MAGICAL GIRLS with the following requirements (previously described here):

note that here at magical girl month headquarters, we also support the friends, allies, and love interests--as well as those loveable enemies--of magical girls! so when celebrating magical girl month, we welcome celebrations of those without whom their lives would be meaningless!

- MAGICAL: a magical girl uses MAGIC! especially in the act of defeating evil and furthering love! technology sufficiently advanced as to be mistaken for magic is okay, too!
- GIRLS: obviously, a magical girl is a girl! however, here at the headquarters of magical girl month we define "girl" pretty loosely. sailor moon alone has multiple crossdressing and genderbending characters, even discounting the transsexual aliens who are boyband popstars by day and crimefighting scantily-clad ladies on a MISSION by night.
- HENSHIN YO!: a costume change is required! without hilariously impractical and varying degrees of sexy or cute costuming, where is the fun i ask you.

- POST PICSPAMS or PRIMERS! let the world know about your love of magical girls--and why everyone else should love them!
- CREATE FANWORKS! write fic! draw art! post these things!
- LINK BACK? promote magical girl month! if you make public posts full of magical girl love, link me to it and i will make a big roundup post at the end of the month! :D :D :D
