Cassandra Strikes Again!

There's some minor drama happening in my life right now, but it shall be sorted soon. Don't want to talk about it, but prayers for wisdom would be good. I also have a headache and a sore throat. I am hoping that I'm not coming down with The Latest Crud.

In Cassandra news, Cassandra has been quite active as of late. I finally have an acceptable first scene for the story (yay!), as Cassandra wants me to write about her very first heartbreak at ten years old. It works quite well as a beginning and leads nicely into another Mysterious Happening, which is also important to The Plot.

Cassandra has also informed me that she believes she may be haunted by her grandmother on her father's side. "What?" I demanded when she gave me this information. "What do you mean by this, introducing another possible plot point?" Cassandra just raised her eyebrows at me, metaphorically speaking. "Don't look at me like that, young lady," I scolded her. "If your grandmother turns out to be some sort of cute talking sidekick and not a scary ghosty person, she's out."

"She's quite frightening," Cassandra reassured me. "Unfortunately, only I can see her."

"I think that's rather fortunate, actually," I replied, making a note of her unreasonable demand. "Your father would surely know that something was up with you if he noticed that you were being followed by the shade of his dearly departed mother."

"Yes, but she's very annoying, as well," Cassandra explained, tucking a stray black curl behind her ear and frowning. "She keeps telling me that she's going to tell Papa what I've been up to, even though I keep telling her that he can neither see nor hear her. She also makes it difficult to concentrate."

"I'll remember that," I told her. "Anything else?"

"Yes," she replied. "Amorwe's first Summoning was on the same night that my heart was broken."

"Convenient, but plausible," I allowed. "Now, let me get this written up so that we can move along."

"Very well," she said, and finally wandered off to lie in wait until my next vulnerable moment.

Honestly, she's so insistent about some of these things. Thank goodness I don't have any papers to write at the moment, so I can devote at least a good deal of my attention to her.

Now, it's time to go and get dressed and pray that this headache goes away.
