Christmas this year was a blast, like it always is. Sadly, every year since I turned 13, I've felt some of the magic of Christmas gradually disappear. This year, it was gone completely. No jitters on Christmas eve. No trouble falling asleep the night before Christmas. Nothing. And, to tell you the truth, it wasn't as disheartening as I thought it would be. Instead, I feel like I finally see Christmas for what it is, and I like it that way. It's about family, food, friends, hugs, kisses, smiles, stupid Christmas cards, corny and cliched Christmas songs, it's humanity at its best. I see Christmas through mature eyes. And although change is kinda freaky, this one isn't so bad. Once you get used to it.
