Crawling Back
The quick list of what I've been up to:

Fortunately I think I'm done. If for no other reason than I'm pretty sure I'm out of money. I currently live in fear of my next credit card bill.
On the plus side BotCon came in under what I budgeted for it. The reimbursement for the conference registration should be on my next paycheck. My bridesmaids dress is purchased (all I have to worry about now are shoes that look cute since my feet will be completely exposed and since the bride is requesting black shoes and the dresses are red they will be really noticeable in pictures... no I'm not at all concerned about that. *sigh* Calm... just wait for the dress then worry about the shoes). The final nail is the shoes I bought on Thursday... oh dear lord I don't think I have ever spent that much on a single pair of shoes ever before.
Top that off with the purchase of a new computer (which arrived today) and I'm really feeling the sticker-shock. The computer was planned. I've been saving up for it for almost a year and I'll be paying it off in one go. Still, it's a lot of money out the door all at once.
I haven't switched over yet - I need to purchase some anti-virus software. I also need to have all my stuffy from my current machine transferred over. Not to mention I'm still waiting on the new mouse. The old one has a one-click mind of it's own and has been driving me bonkers for the last few months.
In theory I should have an incentive check coming from the government. However, also in theory I should have received it last Friday. My brother is in the same boat. We were theorizing that since we both filed early maybe we were missed. I'm gonna let him call the government (he's better at that sort of stuff anyway).
In more entertaining news I got to see Ironman opening weekend. It. So. Totally. Rocked! Comic book geek that I am, I was never particularly interested in Ironman. After this though... well check that, I still don't care about the comics. I do however want more of this movie. It was one of the few 'origin' movies that I thought moved fairly smoothly from start to finish. The final conflict didn't feel as rushed or forced as other recent comic book movies (IMHO). It was satisfying with some nice nods to the comics.
Transformers Animated is still good. I have to admit that I have no patience and have been watching the episodes as early as possible on YouTube. I've also been spoiling myself rotten at every opportunity. The season finale looks like it will be very interesting. I haven't seen the official green light for season three, but I really hope they get it. This is shaping up to be a really fun series.
Looking forward to the IDW Transformers comics. Reign of Starscream is looking very good.
