*yawns*
I d/loaded Adobe Premium today, just because I wanted to see if it truly is that amazing as people are claiming. Well, it had a couple of nice features, and the editing is really comfortable because of the separate "windows" for the clip you're editing and the stuff you've already put together. It has also some useful audio effects I liked, not to mention the enormous variety of video transients. Pro2 is a great programme, I give it to it. It's just too complicated for me (For me, the "pro" part is there for a reason). Too much stuff, too many index'.. and I didn't quite understand the principiles the programme has when it comes to accepting the imported video files.. Guh. It was fun to play with it, but since the memory of my comp is running out, I prefered deleting the whole shit to keeping it. PSP and I have had several long and stubborn discussions already, so I don't want to bug my dear photo editing programme more<3<3
Yay, my hair got a new cut today~! It's so feminine and soft, I can't believe it's really me when I'm staring at myself in the mirror. I was going to dye it violet, but then some problems emerged, and now it's more like dark red.. wine, perhaps? Beh.
*happy* It's almost overwhelming how sweet people have been about my latest icon batch ^^ I have improved so much in such a short period of time, it's a little confusing (like, I've been keeping an eye on a couple of icon makers and there are some people who have needed one year so to get to the point where they are now.). I'm not complaining, though^___^
(I visited the library today. I read my mail quickly before heading to the market, and I browsed through the latest comments in my fan art journal. I hadn't realised before that how much screen can change the looks of one's graphics! My stuff is so red-ish when you're looking at them in the city library. It'd be interesting if there really was an opportunity to see the icons just the way all the others do.)
Mmm. Monday.
Usually, Mondays suck. Back to school, yadda yadda.. but yesterday was one of the loveliest days in a long, long time, thanks to Jani-Matti (should I write it with a line or not, I don't know) and my dear friends.
I'm a part of the voluntary group of people who are painting and building scenery for the Christmas play of the congregation. Yesterday I biked to Kulma (it's an oldish building in what the youth work of the congregation takes place) to help Marjo (the local youth worker) and Jani-Matti (a twenty-something-year-old who's in charge of lights) to paint the walls for the couple of scenes of the play. On one hand, I had really waited for it, since in the last meeting Kinke (the friendly nickname of JM) had turned out to be a really nice and funny guy.. but on the other hand, he's almost a professional (he'll graduate soon), and I'm just a lousy amateur. How could I possibly be helpful? Marjo had to run other errands at the same time, so, practically, I was working with him almost all the time, but it wasn't as awkward as I had thought of. He was constantly talking and asking questions, and he really wanted to know my opinions about the materials and shades of paints and stuff. I felt important, and he didn't laugh at my little theories, which was nice. Then he wanted to know everything about his old school and the traditions his year class had started.
It was a pleasure to watch him while he was explaining about his current school and the other Christmas shows he's working with.. his eyes were glowing with excitement and satisfaction, he truly loves lights and theatre. He's really devoted himself for his career. He said at one point that he really (okay, I keep repeating that word.. nevermind^^') wouldn't know what to do, if he just should sit without anything to plan or fix. He managed to spark something in me, and now I'm reading through articles about theatre schools^________^
I sent a message to Santtu and asked, would he mind if I showed up all dirty (lol, in the evening I even found paint from my hair~), and of course he said he wouldn't give a damn *laughs* I went to see him and Lari, who was also hanging around there. We had a cup of tea.. and we talked. A lot. I can't remember the last time I would've just sat at his place, just talking, without all the extra people and fuzz.
kasumi24 came home a few hours lated and we played card and talked some more. Thanks, darlings, that was just what I needed! *blows millions and millions of kisses*
Tomorrow is the Independence Day. Go Finland! \o/
