Bits of Josh: Okay, you know how much I LOVE this man, right? So. I don't have iPod but now I'm seriously thinking of buying one. See, I borrowed mum's walkman (or it's Thomson LIFE but it's easier to say "walkman" cause I know everybody will get it) and the bass in it is AWESOME, never heard anything like this! From now on my entry will be more or ( Read more... )

Good question, m'dear.. *tries to understand her own hand writing* In Bettignies, as I said, it's something like.. 85 km from Lille and.. and I don't know how this address-system works there but Famille Bayart (Johanna's "foster family" ^_^) lives in "Ferme di Pierrefontaine". (*confused* Why there's no street numbers or anything?)

(SITW is breath-taking! I love Cobain's whispering voice and the pure sadness in it.)

Okay ^^ I don't know the place, but I think it should be a small village, that would explain that the house is known by its name and not by numbers or by the name of the street :)

Have you heard SITW MTV's Unplugged version? I personnally prefer it to the cd track ^_^;;

Oh god, YESH I have! *getting excited* Every time I hear it cold shivers run down my back. You can really feel his presence in that song.. I've always appreciated his ability to write simple but still so mezmerising songs.

..ha, this must sound silly: at first I'm droolin over Josh and in the following moment I'm praising Nirvana.. ^_^''

Hey'a, have you ever heard of Tahiti 80? That's almost everything I know about French pop/rock music.. ;)
(One more band I'd love to see live. Sucks to live here, far from everything and everybody.. *sobsob*)

Yep there's that special atmosphere in that live track... and Cobain's voice is really great in live :)

(praising Nirvana is good ^_^)

*ashamed* Never heard about Tahiti 80... I'll try to listen a few tracks. And if you want to know more french rock or pop music, you're welcome ^^ (well, hope you won't be afraid by my tastes ;p)

Yesh, go ahead, I'm lacking new good bands/artists/songs. :D
*humming*

I fell for T80 when I heard "Changes", it's quite creepy (*smirks*) but in it's own way very charming little song. And.. I think "Yellow Butterfly" is worth of listening to too. I've heard a live version of it too but I'm not sure if it's better.

(..and Xavier Boyden has hobbit curls! *innocent whistling*)

Well, there is Noir Desir... One of the most famous and sort of the leader of the french rock. Then you can try Deportivo, Dyonisos, Raphael (he has a very particular voice, it's "you like or you hate" ^^), Ghinzy (from Belgium) and... I don't exactly know your tastes and it's hard to choose between all my faves ^^ But I can upload a few tracks later if you want and if I had time :]

Oh, and do you know Girls in Hawaii?

(XD how to convince me ^_^;;)

I'm not too fussy about my music, one could say my taste is mainstream and other that it's absolutely terrible (=no one's ever heard of my fave bands/artists and songs are impossible to find etc etc). Like, I love Josh and Nirvana, Moist and Lifehouse, T80 and Matthew Good Band, World Without Sundays and Christian Walz, Disco Ensemble and (*whee*)Backstreet Boys, Nickelback and James Blunt, Audioslave and Savage Garden, and the list never ends. ^____^

But the names of your bands are quite tempting, I'm definitely gonna try some stuff from 'em. And if ya wanna and can, of course it'd be great from you to put something up. *<3*

Girls in Hawaii sounds somehow familiar but I don't if I've heard their music ever.. *hmm*

OKay ^^;;

So I have uploaded four tracks, I won't say they're the best or they're my favorites of the favorites, because it's impossible to upload all the files I like ^^

So we have:
Noir Désir - Le vent nous portera, the more famous.
Noir Désir - Lost, with a few english words ^^
Ghinzu - Do you read me
And to finish,

Uh, obviously I forgot to comment here.. O.o;;

THANK YOU, sweetheart! I fell for Noir Desir for good! I like the attitude and the singer's voice.. They're really kickin' HIM/The Rasmus's asses. ^_^

Girls in Hawaii sounds pretty cool too, I just haven't listened to that song much yet (blame ND, bwahhaahaa) but when the first waves of crazyness have passed I'll promise to pay more attention to it. :D

And nevermind the spam. ;)

I am SO glad you like Noir Desir!!
I uploaded for you "L'homme pressé", one of their best songs (from my point of view of course ;p), I think you'll like the rythm of the words (and the lyrics are good too). and it's here: http://s53.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0D59Z5O66WJB13QFR7N1J5SMDF

Enjoy!!
