How do you make a smiley that's bawling its eyes out? God knows I could use one right here and now ;__;

It's so crazy how there are films out there that, no matter how many times you watch them, make you an emotional mess? It's so stupid, really. MTV3, a Finnish channel, aired The Perfect Storm at its Saturday late night spot. I saw the movie with my mom and a few friends 9 years ago in the cinema. Since then, I think I've watched it like... three times, maybe four, but not very recently. I went all nostalgic and cheerful really when I saw from the Internet that its been aired again. I've been drawing all day long, actually, but even though I wanted to get the piece finished, I thought I could watch the movie from the corner of the eye. After all, I've watched it before, I know how it ends and stuff. If I miss a bit, I won't lose the track.

SO WHY IN THE NAME OF GOD I'M BAWLING AND WEEPING HERE LIKE A LITTLE, HUNGRY CHILD? ;o;

I mean... those guys... idiots. The weather forecast, the faxes, so much bad luck... stupid people went and died. I've read the book by Sebastian Junger the movie's based on, and even though some would call it a 'fishing book' due to its documentary style, I love it as well. The book, that goes by the same name as the movie, is harshly realistic and depicts credibly the life a fisherman leads. Of course its about fish and fishing but there's also a heartwrenching story about bad luck and brave men in there as well.

The cast is soooo good in the film. George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg, nice jobs as the leading characters (beside the sea). But, my favourite is William Fichtner's Sully. Sully's last minutes alive in the boat that has flewn upside down.... SAPPY SOBS AHEAD!

Also, the slightly retarded Bugsy Moran is somehow a touching character. Gaah, I love everything about The Perfect Storm♥

And about the song in the video (it's also the closing song for the movie). I think it's called Yours Forever and is performed by... John Mellencamp? A nice, soft piece to end the story.

Now, if all this crying stopped, I'd get my piece finished.

(Oh, hello. Yes, I returned from the trip safely 8) Some pics tomorrow!)

miss rii loves a good cry, the perfect storm, happy little things in life, movies, reviewing
