Aloha, aloha~~
Gekkou Yoku PV
;_;
When Shou (or was it Nao?) posted the first shots from the on-location of shooting the PV for Gekkou Yoku, I had this bad feeling straight from the beginning. Like, it seemed as this was going to be one of those shiny, pretty but awfully empty vids. alice nine has had too many of those recently -cosmic world, MIRROR BALL (I've learnt to live with it, though. Torashi looks hot in it *shrugs*), JEWELS... I like those "simply playing" videos because they're easy to icon. However, when thinking from another POV, they tend to be dull. Nothing really happens in them. I think, to this day, none of my favourite jrock groups has produced anything as ugly and tedious as cosmic world. Kinda upsetting that it came from a band that can proudly say Eraser ~Memoire d'une Fleur, White Prayer and Yuri Ha Aoku Saite belong to them.
I watched the official preview for Gekkou Yoku today and sadly, I was right. This seems to be a continuation to that list of sorry excuses for jrock vids. D: I hate to say this, because AWWWWZ, the boys have never before performed that divinely *drools* All of them look smashing gorgeous (I love Shou's jacket, and Tora's very grown-up style. Not to mention Saga who just gets more and more handsome as days pass by *melting* AND NAO'S TIE-BOW-WHATEVER-THINGGY *.* ~<3 Uh, AND HIROTO'S BLACK HAIR IS BACK! God, now I see how much I've been missing it♥). The guys are really having fun there, jamming, striving for a hot oshare visual experience. Gotta love them for that. But the PV director could've pulled together something more interesting than the stupid and PERVERTED-LOOKING mirroring effect for the song(srsly, watch Saga's fingers ô.o'). Gekkou Yoku's one of my favourites from the band D: I love the beginning of it<3 Shou<3 Don't rape it D:
AND, why the hell they've directed something this unimaginative to feature the upcoming PV compilation? I thought they'd pamper us with some real treats D: Since the second dvd is full of relatively new vids of which most can still be bought separately, I don't comprehend why they aren't trying to sell the product harder with better extra goods. (Shunkashuuto on the first dvd is a to-die-for item for every fan out there! But, gotta complain a bit here too: no Gradation wtfstfu? *pout*)
Okay. I'm going to wait till Alice in Pictures 2 is released before I make my final judgement. But so you know: I'm not too excited about this. At all.
RAINBOWS single
I'm either going to love or hate this song to bits xD;; The twenty-something seconds long teaser is made of so utter WEIRD that I don't know what to think about it, really. First, I loved it -finally something drastically different and new- and then, a minute later, I found myself thinking, 'What the hell is going on with them?' I mean... it's so... disco... yet... weirdly... metal, you know? The undertones of it are crazy xD
Boys, you have my attention! Bring it on xD
Miss Rii was celebrating Midsummer in Turku~! Contradictory to all weather forecasts, it turned out to be a beautiful three-days-long break for me^^ I was expecting pouring rain but instead we got sunshine and warmth. A bit additional wind, too, but that didn't really bother.
I and
essin traveled to Turku on Thursday morning in order to catch up with my dad before he left. (He and Ritva had booked a some sort of cruise kind of thinggy for Midsummer in the Sweden archipelago. I had promised to be dog- and catsitting during their trip and Essz tagged along to accompany me.) Olli and Minna arrived on Friday and since then (it's Sunday evening now) I've been more or less sober *lol* I think I haven't drank this much in two years x)
Anyway, it was fun. We spent a lot of time in Aurajoki riverside, swigging beer and long drinks. We visited one of these "bar boats" as well. I love those, they have the right kind of atmosphere to them♥
Essz left for Taivassalo on Saturday. We three youths remaining spent our morning in bar terraces and beer gardens. (We went to eat some pizza for breakfast to the riverside and from there, we just couldn't make it home decently xD "Hey, there's a beer garden." "Yeah." "It's sheltered from the wind." "Yeah." "And that's one hecka sunny spot." "Yeah." "So... how about one?" "Definitely." and that went on and on and on... we stopped for 'one' in every beer garden and bar terrace that happened to be open. We got served even in some 24+ place when Olli distracted the bar tender by asking about their French beer selection [heck, I didn't even know the French make beerO.o;;]. The Bank was the name of the place. A lovely restaurant, built into an old bank, as the name implicates.)
Thank you sweeties, it was a Midsummer to remember! Olli, you better remember what you promised about barbecueing!
When I got home, I opened the door to balcony so the cats could enjoy the sun as well whilst I did some laundry in the bathroom. When I got the dry clothes of mine separated from Essz's and went to skip her stuff to her room, I heard panicked meowing. I went to check if wind had accidentally slammed the door shut but it was still open. The next annoyed thought of mine was that Eva (now I recognised the voice) had sneaked to the neighbor's balcony -again. I tried calling her but she didn't show up. I was already thinking about going ringing the door bell next door when my eyes happened to brush over the front yard -and there, three fucking floors below, in front of the building's front door, was Eva wandering around. That bloody stupid cat had jumped down from the third floor -and for some reason, God spared its precious little life. You bet my heart skipped a thousand beats. I stormed out of our apartment and down the stairs without shoes. I guess Eva got a bit scared of me since it ran into a rose bush as soon as it saw me. Before, I have had no problems with keeping the balcony door open but needless to say, now I don't dare anymore. Eikka is too fat and lazy to pull such a stunt but it would be no miracle if Eva repeated it. There was some blood running from her nose but other than that, she seems to be fine. I'm keeping an eye on her and if something odd occurs, I'm taking her to see the vet in the morning.
Now Miss Rii will curl up and finish Last Friends. Hopefully it's Takeru to marry Michiru...
