German

Yesterday was my first German lesson. And it was fun:0)
Our teacher made us listen and repeat German phrases in the very first 15 minutes of the lesson. It was like remembering how it sounds and saying it. Then she gave us printed versions of what she read and made us read... Well, what can i say... I'm actually glad that a lot of words i heard yesterday sounded similar to English:) But it's really a problem for my mind that some of them are spelled the same way! That is why word phrases like "mein Name" and "№1"(it was written like that in the paper) i started in German and ended in English. Thankfully our teacher is understanding and she patiently said to all of us making mistakes: "Forget English":0)
And i also now know the word "Reise" meaning "a trip, journey". And i remebered it just because of...Rammstein - they have a song "Reise, Reise". So it turns out to be just "Journey, journey"? Honestly i thought of a more sophisticated meaning. But German words seem to always arise expectations of some complicated meanings in me:0)
Overall i think my attitude to German is more positive that to Itallian. Besides, i have the emotional connection with it represented by Rammstein, to whom i may be not listenning much, but like them. I found it very helpful to remember words when there's an emotional connection to it. Like with "Reise".
We were also warned about difficulties to come. For example our teacher said some frightenning long word, i don't even remeber how sounds, meaning...just "hobby". At that moment i thought: "You'd better not having hobbyes if you're German":0) But still our teacher said: "We are not those who can complain, look at some our words", so it will be manageable.
