femme_slash_fan The day had begun perfectly normally for Sam.Well, as normal as it could be. The Stargate was being finicky, so she had spent the better part of the morning recalibrating the dialing system. She then had helped Sergent Siler repair several MALPs, readying them for offworld duty. After a series of things breaking down and her fixing them she was feeling fairly drained. Now she was headed to the commisary for a much needed energy boost. Walking through the swinging doors she spotted Janet sitting at a table by herself. The doctor saw her lover enter and gave her a wide smile. Sam returned the smile and with a spring in her step ventured over, her day just became better.

halfbloodme Sam stared at the beauty lying next to her, snoring gently. Reaching a hand out, she brushed away a stray lock of hair, letting her fingers trail along the side of her love's face with the barest of touches. The doctor mumbled something under her breath and leaned into the touch. Sam grinned as lips placed a kiss on the palm of her hand.
Opening her eyes, the doctor mumbled, "Morning," with a voice still thick with sleep.
"Good morning, pretty lady," Sam replied and leaned down, placing a kiss on her love's full lips.

Vala bounced up and down with excitement. "Can I come with you? Can I? Can I?" she said in a excited and rushed babble.
"Whoa! Calm down, woman. It's only a shopping trip," Sam told her.
"Exactly! Shopping! Off base! Please?" the alien asked, pouting her lips and giving Sam a pitiful look.
"Oh, okay, what could it hurt," the blonde told her. Then it hit Sam, "Vala," she said in a questioning tone, "did Daniel take his credit cards away from you?"
With a wave of her hand to dismiss the question, Vala nodded, "Yes, I gave them back. But don't worry, I have my own now. Let me get changed and I'll meet you at the elevator," she told Sam and walked quickly away from the blonde before Sam could say anything.
Left alone in the middle of the hallway Sam said to herself, "Do I really want to know how she got credit cards?" Shaking her head the blonde muttered, "Nope, probably better if I didn't know that." Still shaking her head Sam walked down the hall to wait for her friend.

geonncannon Nine times out of ten, Janet passed Sam's lab without even giving it a glance. But today, she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. Back tracking her steps the doctor was surprised to find Sam standing on a stool in the middle of the room.
"What are you doing?" she questioned.
Sam didn't say a word, she just pointed to a corner of her lab.
Janet's eyes followed the pointing finger and it was all she could do not to fall over laughing. There in the corner, curled up in a tight coil was a small snake. The doctor gave Sam a confused look. "It's just a snake," she said.
"Yeah, a snake...in my lab," Sam replied and a shiver shook her body. "I hate snakes," she added.
"Do you want me to call someone to come catch it?" Janet asked as she walked closer to the woman perched on the stool.
"Oh, God no, I'd never live it down if the guys found out. Can you catch it?" replied Sam in a embarrassed tone.
Looking around the lab, Janet spotted a large glass jar on the counter. "Okay, I'll catch it, but you're going to owe me for this, scaredy cat," the doctor said with mirth in her tone.
"Anything, Janet. Just get it out of here," Sam almost whined.
Chuckling under her breath Janet grabbed the container and eased closer to the little reptile. The entire time trying to think of a sufficient payback for the blonde. Successfully placing the jar over the creature she scooped it up and then turned back to Sam, who had climbed down from the stool.
"My place, tonight, eight o'clock." Was all Janet said to the blonde and walked out of the lab with the jar, leaving Sam to wonder what exactly she had just gotten herself into.

As Cassandra slammed the door behind her, and Janet shouted at her from the garage, Sam cringed and wondered if she still had time to climb out the window and avoid involvement. The doctor stormed into the kitchen before Sam could move from her seat. "Where did she go?"
Sam pointed up above her head, where the sound of loud footfalls could be heard as the teenager paced in her room.
"What happened?" the blonde asked her lover, quickly regretting it as she saw Janet's jaw tighten.
"I...it's...just...argh!" Janet growled.
Moving quickly Sam did the only thing she knew to do;engulfing the smaller woman in her arms she rubbed the small of the doctor's back with her hand.
"It's okay, sweetheart. she'll grow out of it," she said.
"But will that happen before we kill each other?" Janet muttered.
Sam laughed. "I'm sure our parents thought the same thing," she said in a light tone.
Janet was silent for a moment and then she chuckled. "It's cosmic payback, right?" she asked Sam.
"Oh yeah, big time," the blonde answered.
The two women looked at each other for a moment and then burst out laughing together.
Sam thought to herself, 'One down, one to go'.
For
dhamphir It was all Sam could do to keep from busting out laughing, but she knew from the look in Janet's eyes it would mean her death if she did. "Not one word, missy," the doctor said shaking her finger at the blonde. "If you didn't have to go in tonight you would be right here with me," she added.
Still trying not to laugh Sam replied, "It wasn't me who read her the book at bedtime."
Janet groaned and adjusted the ears on top of her head. "At least she could have chosen people to dress up as for Halloween," she said with a sigh.
Cassandra bounded down the stairs, carrying her honey pot/candy bucket. "Let's go Piglet, we've got candy to collect," the child said in a playful tone.
Janet stifled a groan and Sam covered her mouth to keep the laugh from escaping as the pair moved towards the door. The child rushed outside and Janet turned to her lover, "Next year, I think I'll suggest Cat in the Hat for you, smarty pants" she told Sam.
The blonde just shrugged and waved the doctor out the door, when it was closed behind the pair Sam could now let the laughter escape and she did, very loudly.

lilferret "Not going to happen," Sam muttered, staring at the item in Janet's outstretched hand. "But, Sam," replied the smaller woman, giving the item a little shake, which made it jiggle in her hand. "It's so cute," she added.
"Absolutely, not. It's tacky," Sam said.
"But cute and it matches your interior," Janet pleaded.
Sam eyed her lover who was giving her a pitiful look. Throwing up her hands the blonde stated, "Fine, I'll put it in the car."
Janet grinned and handed over the gray bobblehead cat. "I knew you'd give in," she remarked.
Poking the little figure's head, which made it bobble, Sam sighed. "I can't deny you anything, besides if I didn't take it you would put there yourself." she said.
Janet just smiled and gave the blonde a wink then went to the kitchen to finish cooking dinner.

sams_ceara Maybe her mother had warned her there would be days like these, but this was getting ridiculous. Okay, so maybe this wasn't excactly what her mother had been refering to, but still it was ridiculous, the bard thought as she ducked another sword stroke from the foul smelling ruffian. She went low with her staff and took out his legs, sending him crashing to the ground. Standing, Gabrielle looked to her left where Xena was taking on two of the men at the same time. Seeing that they were the only ones still fighting she took the oppertunity to watch the warrior in action. Leaning on her staff, the bard looked on as Xena expertly disarmed the bandits and then sent them running with a loud yell of her battle cry.
"You realize that was the third time we've had to fight bandits today," she told the warrior as Xena walked toward her.
"I know, odd isn't it," Xena replied with a grin. "Bandits, on the road, who would have thought," she said.
"Ha, ha, Xena. I think we need a vacation," Gabrielle told her.
"A vacation? I like the sound of that, but do you think we'll have to fight our way there?" Xena wondered aloud.
Gabrielle poked the warrior in the stomach with the end of her staff. "Not funny, Xena," she replied.
"Okay, okay," Xena replied, rubbing her stomach. "Maybe we can take a route less traveled; go cross country or something."
"Sounds like a plan, warrior mine," the bard said.
Xena smiled and then whistled. Argo trotted out of the woods and the tall warrior leapt into the saddle, holding her hand out to the bard she said, "One, cross country tour of Greece, coming up, my love."
Letting Xena pull her onto the mare, Gabrielle remarked, "And if we see bandits, we avoid them, deal?"
Xena didn't answer at first and the smaller woman slapped her on the arm. "Okay, deal, we avoid bandits," Xena agreed.
"Good, now let's get moving before more bad guys pop up," said the bard.
Xena touched her heels to Argo's sides and the palamino mare took off at a slow canter, taking her humans away from the scene of their latest battle and hopefully towards a more peaceful location.

ml_spikie As Janet watched Sam walk down the ramp from the gate, the intensity of her feelings threatened to overwhelm her. How she loved this woman, the doctor thought. Sometimes it was all she could do at times like these, not to throw herself at the blonde, engulfing her in a tight hug. Here Sam was, returning from helping save another world from the clutches of the Goa'uld; the blonde major was covered from head to toe in grime and the doctor could see the limp as she neared the end of the ramp. When Sam stepped from the ramp, the doctor could now see the ragged expression on her face, there was no telling when the last time she'd slept but that didn't stop her lover from flashing a wide smile and giving her a playful wink as she walked past the doctor. Yes, she loved Sam Carter and she planned to show her that once they went home.

oxfordshoes2 Holding their salutes with perfect posture, Sam and Janet dared not move a muscle until the door was closed. Once they heard the click of door pulling shut they lowered their arms and turned to each other, big grins on their faces.
"We're getting medals," Janet said to the blonde.
"Wow, even though I clobbered the General," Sam replied, trying to keep a straight face.
"I think this calls for a celebration," the petite doctor told her companion.
Sam laughed and replied, "Only if you promise not to take advantage of me when I get tipsy."
Turning towards the door, the doctor looked back over her shoulder and winked. "I don't know; I feel like I need to get the memory of kissing that airman out of mind and you seem just the person to replace it," she said in a sultry tone as she opened the door and exited the room.
Sam gulped and pulled at her collar. Rushing after the doctor she couldn't get the thought of that look in Janet's eyes; tonight was going to very interesting.

Spinning around she realized that she had the 9mm pointed directly at her lover's head. Their eyes met, hazel to blue and it was all the doctor could do not to lower the weapon. One of the creatures was directly behind the tall woman. In a calm, whispered tone, the doctor said, "Sam, very slowly, move to your left."
Trusting her lover, the blonde eased her body in the direction asked, the slight movement seemeing to take forever. The loud retort of the gun firing echoed throughout the cave and Sam swore later she felt the bullet fly past. Shaking her head to rid her ears of the ringing sensation, the blonde looked behind her on the floor where the creature flopped in its death throes.
"Holy Hannah, that was close," she muttered. Looking back at the doctor who still stood with the gun outstretched, Sam eased over to her and placed a hand on the weapon. "It's okay, Janet. It's over, you nailed it, " she told the doctor, easing the 9mm from Janet's tight grip.
This snapped the doctor out of her stance and she threw herself into the taller woman's arms, burying her face in Sam's shirt. "Oh, god, Sam. What if I had missed it? What if I had shot you instead?" she mumbled.
Sam wrapped her arms around the smaller woman in a tight hug. "But you didn't miss and I'm right here. See, all those times at the practice range did come in handy after all," she joked, trying to lighten the mood.
Unable to stop the small laugh, Janet nodded. "I will never complain about target practise again. Thank you," she said.
"No, thank you for saving me," Sam replied and dipping her head low, she placed a kiss on her lover's lips. They stood in the dark cave wrapped in each others arms, the kiss reaffirming the love they shared for one another.

trancer21 Only Vala Mal Doran could turn miniature golf into a blood sport. The dark haired woman twirled the small club in her hand and smiled wickedly at her companions. "That's another one in hole for me," she said.
"That's "hole in one" Vala," Sam corrected. "And you were supposed to send it through that tunnel, not off that's guy's head," she added.
Daniel rushed back to the two women, "He's okay and I talked him out of telling the manager," the archeologist told them.
Vala shrugged her shoulders and remarked, "He was in my way. I can't help it if he has such a big head," she said with a grin. "Next obstacle!" she exclaimed and hurried away from her friends.
Sam and Daniel gave each other exasperated looks and quickly follwed after her, both hoping no more blood would be spilled before their game was completed.

merfilly There was only a whisper of a sound before the strange standing circle lit, and then his entire world seemed to change. The drow ranger stared at the rippling pool of blue, for a moment struck with awe. He reached out with one of his twin scimitars, inserting the tip into the pool, sending ripples spreading throughout it. Feeling a tug, he quickly pulled the sword back, inspecting the tip for any damage, there was none. Surely the appearance of this strange portal was the work of the goddess, for it stood in one of her sacred groves.
Feeling a tug at his throat, Drizzt looked down to see his medallion floating in mid air, trying to pull him towards the shimmering blue. Maybe this was a sign, he was alone in this world now, except for Guen. All of his former companions and loved ones had passed, leaving him to wander the Realms alone.
With a nod of his head, the ranger sheathed his swords and pulled the panther figurine from his pouch, summoning Guen. A black mist formed and the onyx figurine was replaced by the large panther, who purred loudly as she greeted him by rubbing against his side.
Scratching her between the ears he said in a soft tone, "What do you think my friend, should we see what awaits us on the other side?"
The panther purred louder and gazed into his purple eyes with her green ones. "That's what I thought, shall we?" he said.
With a straight back and head held high the drow and his companion walked forward into the blue, their entrance sending ripples across the blue horizon as they disappeared to explore whatever new world was on the other side.

slamaina Sam looked at Vala as if she were crazy, well crazier than normal; how could she know Janet Fraiser? "I don't know what you think, but you don't know Janet Fraiser," Sam said in a firm tone.
Vala gave her friend an odd look. "I feel like I know her, from all the stories I've heard everyone tell," she replied.
Standing up from the table, Sam shook her head. "Stories will never give you the full understanding of who she was, Vala," the blonde said in a sad tone and she walked away from the still seated woman.
Vala watched her walk away, shoulders slumped in sadness. "I wish I had known her, Samantha, I wish I had."
