Jonas doesn't really exist, he is just an apparition that occasionally appears when the film is processed. It is suspected that it is due to a faulty lens on the camera, which was used through out season six before TPTB noticed and made the change. Unfortunately they also used a lens from the same manufacturer for a few episodes in season seven. Thankfully after that they switched to a more reliable company.
