Okay, not quite, but I cycled up from the sea to the top of Devil's Dyke today, in the drizzle and mist and frickin' monster wind.
And when I got up there this is what I saw:
Which was nice. Usually you can see to the Isle of Wight etc - but not in the mist today. It was a punishing climb, but well worth it. And it was dead quiet up there too.
When I got back I was wet. On the outside from the drizzle and spray, on the inside from the sweat. It was a warm day, and my breath was still misting out in front of me - testament to how frickin' hot I got on the climb. But it makes me feel good. I'm sure I use bits of my lungs which otherwise lie around, unused, when I do shit like that. Feels like I'm being turned inside out. Although there were moments where I seriously had to regulate my breathing or I think I could have hyperventilated. But I didn't XD So there.
In other news, my curent facebook PacMan score is 30,000. Which means I'm beating the butt off a certain man named Dean. Hahahahaha. Challenge me to an 80s video game, will ya, sucker?? God, my life is sad sometimes! GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK.
And I just got back from having a coffee. MMmmmmm, coffee. I have a question...Tim Horton's, I heard loads about it before I went to Canada, obviously, and since going there, I keep thinking... Why do you guys love it? I mean...they don't seem to actually make like...coffee. Okay, you can get an Americano, and add milk. But where's everything else? Cappuccino? Latte? A proper bitter mocha? Espresso? Machiato? Ristretto? Why doesn't your number one coffee chain sell coffee? Or is it just not like that over there...is a coffee a coffee and that's it, you don't care about all the different sort of coffee? Just something I mull over every now and again.
And as an aside to the whole coffee thing, today was Brighton Pride - one of the largest Pride gatherings in the world. And it was just GREAT to see everyone in Brighton feeling the love. The most unlikely looking guys and gals holding hands, PDAs, it just makes the whole place just feel so damn LOVELY.
