Live Music Is Life

Really enjoyed myself at the NIN gig last night. They played an excellent mix of songs, the lighting set was cool and the sound quality seemed much better than the last time I saw them. I had a pretty good view from where I was standing near the back. I didn't want to get too far into the crowd coz I was still feeling a bit dodgy from being ill at the weekend and I didn't want to push my luck. Amazingly it was the first gig I've been to in ages where no one spilt beer on me lol!

The drive back was not good though. Now I know what they mean when they say don't drive when you're tired. Crikey, we were nearly at Guildford and I was finding it hard to concentrate as it was raining and my eyes were aching but I must've lost it for a split second coz I suddenly found myself coming off on a slip road when I should've carried on the A3. Then we had to go cross country through all these little villages to rejoin the A3 the other side of Guildford. That didn't improve my temper. By the time we were nearly home I was finding it so difficult to stay awake I'm surprised we stayed on the road. Not good. A combination of having been ill and lack of sleep. The good thing though is that's the first long distance run I've done since I've had this car and it has proved itself reliable, so that's reassuring.

Now I'm off to relax and catch up on sleep ready for Saturday and Deviant UK!
