The Liars at Plush.

I just thoroughly enjoyed The Liars' show at Plush. It was one of those perfect alone-ish nights, you know, where the mood and weather and interactions with people and non-interactions with people and music all fit perfectly together. The music was dream-like, but not lullaby or nightmare, more a dream which involves doing strenuous but meditative exercise through a dynamic, colorful, interestingly textured painting. There was a good balance between pretense and honesty in the crowd as a whole (though not necessarily individuals). I smiled nearly the entire time.

On the way to the car, it smelled like desert rain and was damp and chilly. I'm preparing to snuggle up in bed, setting an intention to remember tonight's dreams.
