Well, the time has come again.... Google+ is out and it looks like it has better security features than Facebook. I kept coming back to LiveJournal for the same reason - I could share things with better security than Facebook. On FB, you never know when someone's going to be able to see a post. Even if you block them from certain posts (not easily done but possible), they can often see when friends post things to your wall, and they sometimes see responses you make to other people that you don't intend them to see. Sometimes a post someone else makes to YOUR post opens that post up to being seen by 3rd parties you never intended to see it, even if they can't reply. There's little rhyme or reason to it, even to someone like me, who is very tech savvy. And then several times they've just CHANGED THE RULES on everyone and required you to set things up again.
So... I'm phasing out Facebook and into Google+...
What does that mean for LiveJournal?
I haven't been an ACTIVE poster here for years, but I come back at times when I need my "secret retreat" and there are a few of you I do have interest in staying in touch with.
I'd like any of you who want to stay in touch, once you get access to Google Plus, to drop me a line on here and I'll add you to a circle there. As far as Livejournal, I'm done. For reals this time.
