made a friend

His name is Steve.
Steve is in my Figure Drawing class as well as Figure Modeling. It took me until week 4 to realise Steve and Steve were the same guy.
The sad part is that he is distinctive looking and memorable, too.
Team Elf.

Steve is a Fine Art Major.
He showed me some photos of his paintings on his camera phone.
That man is damn good with a paintbrush!
Some day I will buy one of this paintings, and hang it in my living room.
By the iguana.
Steve had an iguana once. :)

I got a B- on my assignment today.
I will post the piccy soon.
I made a penguin in class.

I was tearing a chunk off of my "to be formed with" clay, looked at the leftover wad and realised
GASP! "It's a penguin!!" so I refined its shape a little bit, and lo and behold I had a penguin!
I set it at my human figure's feet and continued sculpting.
Steve, the instructor, came by, and started telling me what to improve and how.
He reached for scratch clay. Or what appeared to be scratch clay, to the uninformed.
He tore off a chunk.
"Penguin..!" I peeped in dismay.
Steve looked down.
"Oh.. oh..! oh dear.. It IS a penguin.. ah.." he stuck the head onto my figure's knee. He looked at the head. He removed it from the knee, and proceeded to attempt to replace the penguin's head to its mangled shoulders. "oh... ah.."
"You mangled my penguin..!"
"yea... sorry about.. it looked like just clay..!"
I shook my head.
"Penguin killer..!"
Steve and I chuckled about the penguin for the rest of the class.
Before he graded our pieces, I refined the surface and planes of the penguin, so it was as complete as the figure.
Steve was amused.

I felt the urge to kill Jorge only 3 times today.
That's a record low, folks.
Go me.
