awsome day!

yesterday was GREAT!
played D&D with Andrey as the DM; the party consists of Jared (gnome cleric), Pheebs (tank warforged), Stan (dwarven ranger), Blake (human sorcerer/rogue), and me (gnome artificer). While Stan finished his character, Jared, Blake, Phoebe and I played SoulCalibur2 (a la Game Cube). I have decided that Link is CHEAP!! >n< I was playing Jared (he was Link, I was Nightmare AKA Siegfried 2.0) and we were both using joke weapons. He was using a faerie net, I was using an oar. The oar was GREAT-- made wave-splashy noises every time I smacked him. But let is not forget that Link is cheap. Jared had just dealt me a nasty combo, when I WHOPPED him over the edge!! >w< It was hilarious. The timing was just so great. I have also learned that I should never play Taki... I just jump off too many edges! haha!

After D&D we all went back downstairs to play some more SC. We played Team VS Battle! ^v^ 4 characters per team-- it was GREAT! I used Nightmare, Talim, Cassandra, and Ivy (in that order). Whooped a bunch of people-- including Stan!! I was on a bout that, if I had one it, I would have faught Stan again... But I died. As I passed on the controller, Stan said "Aww.. I wanted to fight you again...!" My ego has never felt better.

while we were playing, before D&D Pheebs scolded us for "taking it too seriously"... actually we were just having fun... But she got schooled a couple times... The funny thing is that she goes all out on our Newby Second-Cousin Once-removed after 1 or 2 rounds of practice, but insists that we, essentially, take it easy on -her- because she thinks we're just too intense...? C'mon Pheebs! You whooped plenty of ass! We don't need to go easy on you! You whoop me plenty of times! Give yourself a little more credit! But.. ease up on the kiddies. Don't be a bully. Stan was always nice to you in GameClub when you joined in, and so was Smitty.

Anyhoo I think I'll game for a while-- dinner should be ready soon. Should give me enough tim to reinstall Planescape: Torment. Gosh I love that game!! Involves religion, The Planes, magic, the concept of sensations and memory, and a morbid sense of humour! It's GREAT!

I really hope to game with the guys like that, again... maybe even LAN sometime soon, ya know, before I have to go back to SF.. *tear*

game
