Or rather, just tow truck companies. ;p Meh!

So today, Kevin and I went to lunch with his parents today in Altamonte, and I was planning on leaving to go back to Tallahassee at like, 4pm, so I'd be back in time to still have dinner and relax a bit and not drive in the dark and all that good stuff. WELL. We got back to his apartment complex, parked, got out of his car, and realized very quickly that MY car was MISSING. ;pppp Now here's the thing. Kevin has been living at this apartment complex for over a year now, and they have never ever had any parking rules to speak of. They've never towed, and visitors never really park in the visitors spots cause it's just not necessary. Lei, who didn't even live there, was over every single day last year, and parked her car in normal spots, and was never towed. I have visited numerous times and never been towed. But somehow, for some reason, today of all days, they decide to start towing, without any notice or warning. Faaaantastic. So, Kevin and I had to track down my car and go get it out of hoc for a wonderful fee of $187.60 ;pppp Ridiculous!!!! Rar! And like, they only accepted cash, so before we could even go get my car, we had to drive all over town to go to our different banks' atm's so we could get that much cash. And then! We get to the towing place, and I go in to pay, and have the horrid realization that my car keys are nowhere to be found. In fact, they were sitting on the dining room table back at Kevin's apartment ;p So we had to call Mike and have him hurry the keys over before the place closed at 5pm. It was a horrible afternoon, to say the least.

So basically, I didn't end up driving back to Tallahassee as planned. And granted, had I been hardcore, I could have driven back after getting my car back, but really, to be honest, I was simply NOT in the right mood or frame of mind to make a four hour drive in the dark in a car that had just caused me so much grief ;p I decided I required a night to relax after having such an insane afternoon. I think I was pretty justified in such a decision. Anyway, I'm feeling better now, but maaaaan was today ridiculous. Sometimes my mind is just boggled at how things like this always seem to happen to me. ;p Oh well.

Anyway!

On a more positive note, I had a lot of fun at Schmidt's wedding last night. It was a really good time. :D Jessie and I got to hang out a lot, which was awesome, and Kevin even came out on the dance floor with me a number of times! :D The wedding itself was in a big fancy church in downtown Winter Park, and that part was pretty cool just because I hadn't been to a church wedding in a very long time (the only other one I'd been to recently was the one I filmed last summer) and it was all very traditional and pretty. Fulks even had to go down the aisle and light all the candles on the rows!! We kept making fun of him because he was so slow and methodical and trying very hard to not burn the whole place down ;p hehe. Thankfully he didn't, and we all made it to the reception in one piece ;) The reception was cool too, cause it was actually at Leu Gardens, in the same place that Kevin and my wedding will be in about 9 months from now! (eeeeee!!! :D) So it was pretty neat to see it all done up for a wedding reception, and to sort of get a feel for the layout and see how it worked and whatnot. They used the screened verandah for the cocktail hour, and that worked pretty nicely aside from the fact that it was rather warm outside ;p It did cool down later though, and after dinner we all went outside and hung out on the porch to watch the sunset and catch up with one another and everything, which was a lot of fun :D They had an open bar at the reception, so that made for an interesting time in some cases (such as when Schmidt, towards the end of the evening, tried dancing with all of the guys in the group, and succeeded a few times...hah), but it also helped in loosening up Kevin and Fulks so they'd actually come out and dance with Jessie and I, which was a good thing ;) I danced a whole lot at the reception, probably more than I've ever danced at a reception to be honest! It was great, though, and I'm really glad I went. After the wedding, we all went back to Kevin's apartment and hung out and watched tv and whatnot, which was nice. I miss everyone from the old group, and I wish we could hang out like that more often. Kevin mentioned earlier today how he was really happy to hear that Fulks missed this area so much, cause so often you talk to people who moved away after high school, and they don't want to come back and visit cause they're over this area. But if Fulks misses it, that means he'll actually want to come back and visit, and he'll bring his awesome wife Jessie with him, which is a good thing for those of us still around here ;)
Anyway, that's about as much updating as I can handle for the evening. ;p I really wish it were December already.... meh. At least Battlestar Galactica starts in like a week and a half, so that'll help keep me occupied, and I've got to finish Digital Devil Saga so I can move on to finishing FF6. I really wish I had more time for such things... ah well.
