As an elf and one of the eldar, I have natural beliefs.
Of course these beliefs are knowledge more than anything else.
The Valar are our protectors, and they and Eru grace us with our lives.
It is a comfort that we know all who pass shall dwell in Mandos halls, and that we shall all be one day in the presence of the Valar in the west.
To an elf or perhaps any who dwells in middle-earth this question is too simple to answer.
