How far from your birthplace?

In my long life I had what some may consider luck to travel with my parents wherever they went.
Thus I have seen much of the wonders of Middle Earth. Yet there is one place I have not visited that now I wish I had - the Shire. If those who swell there can yeild such strength as to destroy what kings of men could not then they are truly an honourable race.
Of corse the furthest I have travelled from my home of Lorien is to the Undying lands which in a way is my true birthplace, it is where the elves first awoke and saw the world.
In leaving my home, in travelling far across the sea as so many of us have I returned home and it may sound strange to some, others may not understand but there is a longing that I never understood until it was fulfilled.
We left there long ago only to return when the ages changed and we no longer had a place in Middle Earth. To become whole once again.
