Today's (12th) Task: ... wound up cleaning the side tables in the living room, tidying the room, cleaned the kitchen table? Sort of fell off this time.
Yeah, Saturday... I didn't exactly stick to my plan. I wound up sleeping late and then waiting to get anything done till after Matt left for gaming, but then wound up running my sister through three dungeons in WoW, running a 20-minute thing, and then going to get Kait from her apartment to run some errands. Went to the bank, discussed going out to Best Buy to talk to customer service there, and wound up coming back to my place to chat for an hour or so before Matt and Kayse called for me to come pick them up from gaming. We then went to Best Buy, since it was on the way back, and then to Qudoba for dinner (nom nom nom!). So pretty much my cleaning got done while Kait was over and a bit after dinner, when I then relaxed with my bath anyway. (Bad Megan. Bad.)
There were a few things of interest (to me) this week. Friday I took the renewal you-came-from-another-state driver's license test and got a 94%. :D One of the two questions I got wrong was something about how much time your license would be suspended for a certain violation (I think it involved alcohol?) which the situation seemed so absurd for me, given that I would never do that sort of thing, so while I feel a little guilty about thinking it was 6 months instead of a year, I'm not too worried? The other one was about the minimum distance you must maintain between your car and the back of a school bus (20 feet) and I said 50 feet. ... Somehow I'm not too worried. But! Point being, I got all the paperwork taken care of for getting my Minnesota driver's license. Apparently they just clip the corner off my Nebraska license, give me the customer copy of all the paperwork, and that counts as my temporary license for the four weeks it takes them to mail me my new one.
Thursday, it was the Knightly One Shot! Six would-be knights of the Round Table confronting danger in order to prove ourselves worthy of the High King's notice. Our company included a Pictish barbarian whose weaponry included whatever he could lay hands on and throw, a French hunter-made-knight come to investigate the tales of magic and fey creatures, a Byzantine mercenary freshly arrived from France with one of King Arthur's allies, a hedge knight with an education and a set of extremely magical weapons, a kind-hearted Welsh knight returned from Rome with the divine ability to heal, and a giant of a Scottish knight returned from squiring in Rome. It was highly entertaining! At the end of this session (since no one-shot is never only one session long) the Pict wound up leaving with some loot to go beat up Romans for being murdering bastards. He did not know that the two knights are Roman, so he didn't start with them. :D It was good times. I'm looking forward to the next one on the 24th.
Oh! I suppose I also did some "exercising" this week. If by which I mean that I stretched, did a little yoga, some sit ups, and jogged up and down my one hallway for the duration of one fast-paced song. But there was movement! And the cat ran with me, so that's a good thing, right? ...Right? >>;;
saturday spectacle,
imma knight!
