There are two main things it could relate to (I'm not sure which one is spelled which way... but I think you're in Humn 2, so it might not be christianity...
(1) The other thing is, if it's related to Gullivers Travels, then there is also Scatology - which is essentially the use of obscenity to make a point (urinating on the fire, the descriptions of the pores and gross features of the Brobdignagians, the conditions of the humans with the Houyhnhnhms, etc.)
(2)Eschatology is the viewpoint of the endtimes. Like Kate said, if it relates to christianity, then its basically interpreting jesus's teachings in the context of the second coming being within a generation or two (paul expected to see the second coming, that's one reason he talks of obeying authroity unless it directly contradicts god, and also why he prefers celibacy if at all possible.. he wasn't expecting christians to need to procreate).
I'm not sure which context its in, so I gave both.
yes, i know. actually, i knew what eschatological meant when the made the post. it was intended to be slightly, desperately sarcastic. nonetheless, eschatological actually doesn't just refer to christian theology. it applies to any theory that espouses the end of humankind, or humanity's ultimate destiny. for instance, i had to know it in reference to Marxism, which is based around the economica/societal destiny of humans. namely, communism. so.
yeah, I wasn't too coherent in the post - I was being specific to humn topics that I remember the two terms applying to. Our professor didn't actually use escatology to refer to Marx's whole "end of history" deal. I talked to Ivan this morning to ask exactly what it was referring to, so I knew that as well :-P. Sadly, I wasn't at my comp, I was at my exam right afterwards.
No need to be snarky, just covering all possibilities in case you, for once, were actually confused. I thought it was sarcastic, but I like to cover my bases.
What about when you replace studying with drinking?? and then don't study at all for the final you have tomorrow... none of that anymore? (and by you, I mean me)
oddly enough, i WAS drinking last night after i decided to give up on studying. erick brought home a strange new alcohalic energy drink that tasted like carbonated cough syrup. drinkable, nevertheless. 6% alcohol content!

Eschatological movements were basically "Yeah. The world is going to end REALLY REALLY SOON. So join us!"
Jesus was an eschatological preacher, of all things.
