I need a food icon.

Made soup tonight. Will see how it turns out in the morning as I just made it up as I went along.

1 Tsp oil
1 onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed
an inch of ginger very finely chopped
500g pumpkin skinned and roughly chopped
Very large parsnip roughly chopped
250g potato peeled and roughly chopped
1 packet Pams soup mix (contains split green peas, split yellow peas, pearl barley, lentils and alphabet pasta)
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground corander
1 tsp tumeric
2 cup Pams Real Stock
8 cups boiling water

heat oil in a frying pan and gently fry onions, then add garlic and ginger and gently fry for a few more minutes. Put everything in the slow cooker, and cook on high for a couple of hours. Add more water if necessary. Then turn down to low over night. Scoop out veges and puree, and then stir back in. Serve with yoghurt stirred through.

I didn't add enough water last night (probably a total of 3-4 cups) and it had all been absorbed by this morning so have added some more this morning during the pureeing process.
