Why?

What is it about being so fucked up that you make a complete ass of yourself that people enjoy?

Many stories that people tell, start off with them being drunk, or wasted off of some substance and then they do something that is embarrassing and they would never brag about if they were sober. They do something that is out of character or just down right stupid, but since they were "wasted" it is ok to brag about and others find it funny.

I found a random entry about a person doing "Special K". They said they got a headache and then they fell down, and couldn't move for a short time.

Now this sounds completely stupid and dangerous to the sober rational human being. However when someone would tell this story prefacing it with "We got really waisted and then this happened" then it would be ok.

Why is it that people brag about the stupid stuff they do when Under the Influence? Joe Bader was over today and he was apologizing for th stupid stuff he's done when completely wasted. Yet he had a bit of pride in his voice when rehashing the stories.

I don't understand it, yet I do the same thing. I get a bit of pride in my voice, and a small smile on my face when I tell the story of how I worked for 8 hours then partied for 6 and then only slept for 45 min and then went to work for another 6. I don't know why, but it happens.

We are very interesting creatures us humans.

Quote of the Day:"I'm constantly questioning things and find it infuriating when people refuse to stop and think about anything...then I remember that people are generally stupid and are products of a society with atkins friendly happy meals." Nicole Riske
