badass icon is badass! i would love to write it but i honestly do not have the attention span for long fics (and this feels like a sprawling epic), at least not enough to do it justice. unless i post random, disjointed scenes every now and then

Hey! Random disjointed scenes are totally cool! Make it an epic drabbleverse. Then, when you're done, make it a drabbleverse community so other people can post drabbles/fic in the same universe. It could go into many directions. ;-)

It's also a great rp idea. (Look at http://x-journal.net/ or their wiki, the game's been running for years...)

real madrid/brotherhood vs barca/x-men is quite fitting! i was actually imagining the other team as liverpool since my fic writing is limited between them and real haha.

Wait, now I am confused. Who are the equivalent of the X-Men then, and who's coaching them? Was Mourinho supposed to be Magneto? Does that make Liverpool evil misguided? Or are things less black and white in this universe, which I would absolutely love! *g*

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your idea about Samisut having complementary powers! So Sami's powers would be like Bishop's? He could even be a cop in real life! Ooooh, yes, I would love that! :DDDDD <3 <3 so much.

I definitely also love Sami and Mesut having complementary powers. And in ~seriousness I think that really suits Sami as well. He's boss and unflappable.

Oh, I definitely agree. So, him having energy absorbing powers like a walking battery would mean he would also have to release the energy eventually? Massive force blasts. Awesome.

Lol. I can see it now: Mesut punching Sami really hard to charge him up before a fight. And Sami enjoying it.

oh, i just meant i hadn't put too much thought on who the other side/team/professor x eqivalent would be. i was more caught up on real madrid players and xabi's back story. mourinho would def be the magneto-type character

and in my head i just assumed the other team was liverpool since i only write about those two teams. but your idea of it being barca makes much more sense. does that make sense?

my x-men knowledge is not as good as yours so I don't know who bishop is!

Hmmm... You know, given that Mou's been all over as a coach, it could also work in such a way that some of his former pupils/team members defected and formed their own team after disagreeing with his methods. That way, there would not necessarily have to be an Xavier character, and it could make the line-up for teams a little more flexible

i see what you mean about iker but i imagine (this character of) iker as someone who had to grow up too quickly and has seen a lot of awful things happen. he, like xabi, is prepared to see the world in shades of grey rather than black and white. he doesn't want to hurt people but he will do anything to protect his own and he sees mourinho as someone who can force that change into their favour where they don't have to hide anymore, where they are no longer "the other." HMM I SEEM TO HAVE PUT A LOT OF THOUGHT INTO THIS.

I GUESS WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS:

i would use the brotherhood (mou) and the x-men (pep) as a basic template for the fued with mou not necessarily being all "evil" and pep not necessarily being all "good". all they know is they just don't agree with each other. does that even make sense??

You make absolute and total sense!

The way your current line-up goes though is that you mainly feature brotherhood characters as your main protagonists. Would the "X-Men" team be secondary characters? Would you also write from their perspective? Would that be tough or fun to write for you, considering you don't usually write them and already have so many characters to deal with?

(As you can see, I have spent too much time BETAing fics. Sorry if I seem overbearing.)

i would say the main characters would be from the brotherhood. i think it might be good/fun to break it up by switching to the "x-men" sometimes but i would mostly try to keep a tight reign on the main brotherhood characters..

not at all! i kinda love discussing it. and i love getting your pov and ideas! i'm just not sure how i'd work stevie into this. you know, if i was going to write some of it...

I would totally buy Mourinho just having recruited Stevie sometime in the past. It's like most of the members of the X-Men are American, but some (like Storm, Banshee, Colossus...) were recruited abroad as well.

Oooh, so Kakà and Cris wouldn't be enemies, but on the same side then. Gotcha. Cris canceling Sami's powers, BTW, could even be dangerous when he's charged up, cause all that stored up energy then has to go someplace else... Kaboom much?

Oh, and multiple Pipitas would also make great Mou!spies!

I also see you wrote Esteban fic! Ooooh, I love me some pirate. What would his powers be, I wonder...

i am a fan of the pirate! i imagine his power to be something that's not too "flashy". something similar to shadowkat perhaps? a no fuss power but incredibly useful.

I agree, but I don't feel shadowkat's power is for him. I don't even know why. I don't see him as the "sneaky" type - but then neither is Shadowkat, really. She is a very brainy character though, so it would fit
