Update
So it seems a lot of my lj friends are sad. Be happy!
And now I want to make a list, because I know I haven't been on here in a long time and I thought you might all want a list.
Things I did this semester:
-Flew to DC
-Interviewed with the National Gallery of Art
-Landed a 9-month internship at the National Gallery of Art
-Wrote and deposited an MA thesis
-Presented a chapter of my thesis at a national conference
-Applied for and won a travel grant for the conference
-Applied for and won a travel grant for a workshop at the Newberry Library in May
-Got accepted into the PhD program in art history at the U of I
-Interviewed at the Art Institute for a summer internship (they'll tell me in May)
-Completed the Graduate Teaching Certificate program at the U of I
Things I have done recently:
-Saw 300
-Went on a barcrawl
-Searched for housing in DC
-Emailed Lafe
-Roadtripped with Robin
-Celebrated my birthday
-Went to Easter Sunday Mass with Kayla Jane
-Watched House with Kayla Jane
-Got a haircut
-Met with my mentors at the University to talk about life, not school
Things I will do soon:
-Graduate and wear an orange-and-blue hood
-Spend the weekend with my boyfriend
-Play with Kayla Jane in C-U
-Host the Fourth Annual Lake House Party May 18, 2007 (all invited!)
-Host Micki's Bachelorette Party May 19, 2007
-Finish writing a paper, writing an oral report, and grading final exams
-Teach my last 112 section at U of I (for now)
Things my boyfriend did this semester:
-Applied for and won a grant to study in Germany for 8 weeks
-Wrote a thesis draft in 10 days
-Visited me on my birthday
Things we will do soon together:
-Go to Germany and Italy
-Move to DC (and live in separate apartments)
-Spend quality time with his family all summer while working in Chicago
-Attend Micki's wedding and be in the offical family wedding pictures
