Mar 23, 2006 17:50

OK, so I'm supposed to be researching. But it's the Thursday of spring break and I'm really not that motivated, despite the coffee I just sucked down. So, a short recap of the last couple days, then back to reading about Fra Angelico and Nicholas V for another couples hours.

In abbreviated form, as I much prefer lists to prose.

TUESDAY:
-SNOW!!!!!!
-Mom's school is cancelled for the day
-TO CHICAGO TO MEET MY CHRIS!!!!!!

Chicago was awesome for too many reasons to count.

1. From the driveway to Grant Park South parking in 2 hours EXACTLY
2. Meet Chris at the Bean-- just as he's walking toward me, I'm walking toward him
3. Wore Dad's vintage GO ILLINI hat with an orange ball on top-- Chris loved it
4. Hours upon hours of wandering up and down Michigan Avenue, doing nothing but holding hands and looking into each others' eyes. Yeah, it's sappy, but it's actually what we did. And I loved it.
5. Attempts to infiltrate Tribune Tower, the CSO building, the Pumping Station, and Sear's Tower. We failed miserably every time.
6. Visits to the CSO and Tribune stores, Barnes & Noble, ESPNZone
7. Trip to the Observatory of John Hancock (aka Big John)
8. FLURRIES!!!
9. Legos in the family bathroom of the mall where we had lunch
10. Finally taking some pictures of me with my boy (check facebook in a week)
11. Hot chocolate at Starbucks with the boy's friends
12. Dinner highlights: the appetizer and NOT WALKING for two hours
13. Walking in Chicago at night
14. Walking again... Just like Jurassic Park!!
15. ESP on target all day/ batting 1000 relationship-wise
16. ALL-STATE BAND
17. Coffee and ice cream at Dunkin' Donuts (with a coupon!)
18. Using the bathroom at Bennigan's then walking right back out
19. Taking care of my boy by warming up his hands and setting his mistakes straight
20. 12 STRAIGHT HOURS in the city with my boyfriend = 12 HOURS OF PURE HAPPINESS

WEDNESDAY:
-Grading all day
-Mass with the parents 6p
-Dinner
-Grading till midnight

THURSDAY:
-Pack and return to C-U
-Research all day
-BRADLEY BASKETBALL 6:30p

That sums it up, up till the present. Waiting now for Roomie to wake up cause I haven't seen her in like 2 WEEKS!!! Well, before her trip to Seattle, and that was, like, forever ago. Then more researching after basketball and maybe some time to relax (movies?) or maybe to bed early. The rest of the weekend: more research and visit from the parents on Sunday.

CHRIS FLETCHER COMES BACK ON SUNDAY! WOOHOOOOO!!!!

[This will be the longest I've gone without seeing him since January- 4 whole days. I'm going to survive, I promise.]
