Why Romana Should Return In The New Series
The picture from above is of Eleven and Idris, the latter who has been speculated to being possibly Romana but more than likely will be another character and as much as I love the new series a lot, I do think it's time for Romana to return to the show for various reasons ...
1) We don't actually know that she's dead. The Doctor thought the Master was dead and look how that turned out. Romana still could've been in E-Space for all we know or somewhere else. Big Finish stuff is cool but it's not totally canonical or it's canon that can be contradicted.
2) While River plays the more cleverer than you role excellent, there is going to come a time when her role in both the series and the Doctor's life is going to have to lessen a little, narratively wise.
3) Romana is one of the few major, headline grabbing things left that the show has to bring back.
4) And I just want a pernament end to this whole last of the Time Lords thing with the Doctor. I don't expect Gallifrey to be restored but I do feel that having other Time Lords like the Master and Romana out there and occassionally crossing into the Doctor's life will do the show more good than harm.
