HOLY SWEET GODDAMN!
wow x 10 billion. I haven't updated since april! this is HOOTENANY! where have I been, you ask? well, I was backpacking in Europe with my hot latin lover for 6 months, and such is the reason for my lack of updates.
Note: I have never been to Europe. Nor do I have a hot latin lover. erroneous, on both counts.
The Suffolk County Crime Laboratory is the place where I spent my entire summer, pretty much. Did a 400 hour internship there, from may-august. I had my fair share of crime scenes, autopsies, and trace evidence research projects. It was one of the best experiences of my life - I learned so much, and it reinforced my career path and subsequent life choices. I was doubting myself for a long while, but this put it all into perspective. I also developed some great ties with the people there, and hopefully will be heading back there to work pretty soon. I also decided to go to Graduate School back home in NY, at Pace University in the city. I'm so happy about that decision, it's not even funny.
So now I'm back at UCF for my last semester, weeee. I'm just taking two classes this term, and I graduate in December. Then it's time to pack up the Uhaul and move back home, ladies and gentlemen.
I DID do some other things besides witnessing autopsies and analyzing hair/fibers/dna the whole summer, surprisingly. Some of these events are highlighted below. Some are not. Haha. For most of my pictures from the summer, go here: http://community.webshots.com/user/ginaaaamc
