Because I am just not paid enough to deal with that shit. Not after running around for two days looking for that guy's ass only to get slapped in the face without even a "hey, thanks".

There's only so much I can take, chief. I am working my ass off here to give the force some sort of competency. To the point where I'm ignoring my roommate and not coming home. Then, they deal out that, and I'm about ready to use any damned excuse I can to haul their asses in and let them sit a night in the drunk tank. Or even better, put them on Obligatory Appointed Deputy Duty.

Things were bad before, but it's worse now with people going home and few recruits. I am going to fucking punch someone.
