People lately
I think people have been particularly interesting as of late...
- Last night, walking home from Ash's, I saw a drunk guy with no shirt yelling at another drunk guy (who had a shirt). Shirts vs. skins!
- Today when I rode the bus to Michaels, I saw a woman with a back brace (she had a bit of a hunchback on her left side) and orthopedic shoes. She was also wearing white lacey socks and a long pink dress, which was very old-looking and girly. I only saw her from the back at first, and I thought she looked sort of tragic and maybe even a little bit lovely. When I saw her face I was a little disappointed, she was a stern looking old woman who looked as if her lips had been sewn shut. I didn't know what to make of her, she was fascinating.
- There is a man who sits outside his apartment, which is next to Laura's. Every time I visit her, I see him. He looks at me suspiciously each time, and he looks like someone who should be raising a family in the suburbs and having barbeques, rather than living in a studio apartment and sitting outside on a plastic chair.
- Also on the bus today: a small boy sitting across from me staring open-mouthed at my knitting. It made me want to start showing him how to knit, but I decided it would be creeptastic.
