Guess who's scanned in a shit ton of pictures? GARY POTTER! No of course not, it's me.
These are pictures I drew instead of taking notes this semester, there are a lot of them which bodes so well for my academic future doesn't it?
Gary Potter, for those curious few, is what Harry Potter is called in Russia. This amuses me.
I started drawing the cast of X -Men Evolution as hipsters in Geoscience one day. This is the only one that turned out well.
Still drawing the fuck out of hipsters though!
I draw Adventure Time characters very often. This is such a good show.
I especially like to draw Marceline, the Vampire Queen. Also included on this page: my attempts to draw the
FUUUUUUU guy from memory, and the best line from An American Werewolf in London.
Zombies, and a...something...in a bottle. "I don't even know" is right.
I drew myself getting pissed at classes a lot this semester. And being fancy, apparently.
This was because I totally said I was born in 2090 in Russian on accident. Also, the face on the right is my first attempt to draw a character of mine named Sam Abbott. Below is where I finally got her right:
Speaking of recurring characters...
I draw this kid very frequently, and he actually looks like a male version of Chihiro from Spirited Away now that I think about it. I imagine him as the kind of dirty spazzy little kid who's always getting into really weird situations and climbing trees and stuff. I want to do a comic about him someday, although I can't think of a good name for him.
Heh. If any of you have seen the Dracula with Bela Lugosi, there are like twenty VERY INTENSE MEN with VERY INTENSE MOUSTACHES who warn Johnathan Harker not to go to the castle because there's a goddamn vampire up there, seriously dude, come on, and Johnathan's like "I think the castle sounds awesome! Let's go up there, I'll be soooo safe!"
Dude doesn't have any sense. If a bunch of slavic dudes with giant moustaches scream about vampires at me, I listen.
If there is one thing that's come out of my Slavic Folklore class, it's ten billion pictures of vampires.
Nonsense.
Lucia needed me to draw a weird creature for her final project in Italian, here are some of my ideas.
This is what I do in Russian instead of taking notes. The repeated "English" and "Russian" are my attempts to get the different sounds of the language represented in typographical form- English is a very loose, drawn-out language compared to Russian, which is very choppy and close-mouthed.
Drawing while watching Spirited Away. Maybe I should start a blog or tumblr or something where I just draw things from memory and get them wildly wrong.
I wish I could remember the context of this quote. But that is my last picture for now!
Sometimes you just gotta drink yourself to death in Baltimore.
