thanks! the actual stamping is pretty easy, but getting the placement right is kinda hard. i redid 4 out of 5 nails on my right hand when i did this stamp. i found it's a lot easier to fix stamps if you have top coat over the base polish, because if you lightly use remover to take off the stamp, it'll only damage the top coat and not the polish beneath.

how does it work? you paint the stamp then stamp? or is it like a stencil?

it's a metal plate with designs embossed on it, and you put a bit of nail polish off, scrape off the excess, roll the stamper across the design, then across your nail. it is AWESOME and i love it. the plates i got weren't name brand, and i got 21 plates for $17.99 with free shipping, whereas the name brand ones are $6.99 for one plate! the name brand is konad, btw. here are links to where you can buy it all, and also a link to a good tutorial.

IT IS AWESOME. i get tons of compliments and between yesterday and today, three guests at work asked me how i did, where i bought the stuff for it, how hard it was, and they all took down the names and urls of everything. the full nail designs of name brand plates are a little bigger than the off brand, but personally the off brand ones worked fine except for on my thumb, but on the abstract patterns sometimes you can stamp a extra bit on the side and it looks fine. some of the patterns aren't as easy to line up, like the houndstooth or polkadots, but seriously that's a small price to pay for how AWESOME these are. i get so many compliments.
