In case anyone else is watching CSI

Does anyone else reckon that Ted Danson's wife doesn't actually exist, that she's dead or imaginary or something? His constant burbling on about his marital bliss at the start of the season didn't ring true, and we've never seen any evidence of more than him ostentatiously telephoning her. When Brass rang his home in this episode, I thought they might reveal it, but all he did was open a conversation by addressing whoever picked up the phone as Mrs Russell, and it's possible that the reply we didn't see was, "Er, no, I'm her daughter, she's been dead for five years now." If it really was the elusive Mrs Russell, then something was very odd later on. Willows pointed out to Russell that he doesn't normally neglect to ring his wife for this long, and when he did ring her, the calm conversation didn't sound like the one you'd have if your husband's boss had rung you earlier to say that he was missing and in danger. Plus he's a bit too nice to be true, at least for this show. I reckon he's going to have a skeleton or two in his closet, and D and I have suspected the existence of the wife right from the start of the season.
