this afternoon, in new york city a USAirways airbus A320 sucked some geese into either one or both engines. the pilot, with 148 passengers and five or six crew, managed to land the plane on the hudson river. no loss of life. apparently no injuries.

there have been airline accidents over water where the impact has cause the plane to flip or cartwheel. the captain of this plane brought the plane in low and slow on its belly. he needs to be given as much recognition as the pilot of the continental jet that went off the runway in denver recently. thank you for keeping your cool, Capt.
