i read an article on monday about in the netherlands right now you cannot exchange dollars for euros. i suspect that other countries in the european union will soon follow suit.
the dollar is worthless. if you plan to travel outside the US i would think the best course of action is to exchange locally before heading overseas, or plan to use ATMs to withdraw euros. there is no guarantee that by summer you will be able to pull US dollars out of your wallet and be able to exchange at an exchange house or bank.
