hmmm... seems to me that even if the "seat belt fasten" sign is off, it is a good idea to keep it buckled. air currents do not necessarily announce when they will become turbulent.

Most airlines tell you keep it fastened even if the sign is off, at least all the ones I've flown on.

I'm pretty sure they all tell you to keep them on while seated. Clear-air turbulence is dramatic and dangerous.

yes, they ask you to keep it fastened, however, how many clicks of unfastening do you hear when that light goes out? as i said, commonsense dictates keeping it fastened. doesn't mean people do.

True..of course it implies that most people have common sense and well.....we know how true that is.

It's too bad we can't toss people like that out the window, but then again for those of us in tech support, they're the ones that pay our paychecks.
