It has been glorious weather these past few days-has something gone seriously wrong in the lower atmosphere? *grin* On Sunday I went for a walk and had to knot my shirt up, because it was simply too warm...it was wonderful to be able to just sit and read in the sun! Yesterday at school a couple of the girls were picking and handing out cherry blossom, and the time when sensible people not bound by the rules of sadistic teachers would have quit wearing blazers has definitely come-for the moment.
I took myself off for a drive on Saturday, and managed to reverse back through the gates without scraping anything, or knocking off any vital parts of the car! It was very satisfying, especially since Mummy, a thirty year driving veteran, still isn't too fond of that particular maneuver :)
On the down side, I got my coursework back today. On the up side, it doesn't appear to have been quite as bad as I thought it to be. On the down side once more, the second draft has to be in for Friday, because my teacher wants the Bank Holiday weekend in which to mark them-never mind the fact that we might want the long weekend to write the accursed things, or that he is only going to "help" us with them on Thursday!
Soon we shall have to begin drafting our Personal Statements for the UCAS forms, but I still have no idea what I want to do...Mummy has agreed that there is something basically odd in my make-up that makes me so indecisive, while half the year is making a concerted effort to "find Naomi a career." I just have too many interests, too many things I could do, if I wished...jack of all trades and master of none, that's me! Hmm, I wonder if there are any openings in the CIA???
My friend, She-who-is-going-to-Uganda-this-summer, told me that at her coffee morning she raised almost £900! That makes her total something like £1800, meaning that she will be able to aford the cost of the trip, and have several hundred left over to help churches in Uganda! It's really amazing, how generous people have been.
friends,
good things,
