(no subject)
I took a notion this afternoon to bake a treacle sponge, but unfortunately all the butter was in the freezer. Me being me, however, I insisted on making it anyway. With the frozen butter.
Let's just say that if I don't get tennis elbow, I'll certainly have wonderful biceps and triceps in my right arm...apparently the automatic beater is so fragile that the frozen material would be too solid for the beaters to cope with-but what about my poor arms, might I ask?!?
Anyway, the sponge smells gooood, so I suppose it was worth it :)
Today I also had my first visit to the optician, believe it or not...I've been having headaches for the past year or so, but apparently I have vision that is "practically perfect in every way" ;) so there is nothing they can do for me. He did so many tests, i was sure there must have been SOMETHING interesting to investigate, but no... As I'm over 16, he took photos of my eyeball, which was a bit gross, but cool in a weird way, and I didn't pass out at the sight of my own arteries, which is definitely good-since his very cute medic son wasn't around, there would have been no point in fainting ;)
